Costume: Friend/Victim

The friend will need to look considerably more vulnerable than her tougher friend. Softer materials, such as wool, and a brighter or lighter colour palette should juxtapose the protagonist nicely.

This costume can look more practical and casual, drawing on the idea that this character does not have anything to hide and so therefore dresses for her own fulfilment, suggesting perhaps that the protagonist dresses in a certain way to ward off other people.

The casual wear also creates the idea of 'just another person', and so when ultimately she is killed, she is one of many victims of untold crimes. This also invites the audience to contemplate of this idea of ordinary people becoming victims out of no fault of thier own.

The natural make-up look emphasises this message of an everyday person, and suggest that she has nothing to hide.
